Chickens are warm, fluffy, and nice to touch. Their feathers silky smooth. But not all chickens liked to be pets. Some ran a mile a second the moment I reach out. Others would peck the offending hand without remorse. There will eventually be a few that would allow you to gently stroke the feathers on their back, breast, enjoying some treats in your lap.
Sitting in the one room for one person in a rented apartment, I'm beginning to miss the feeling of warm feathers, lively cackle, accompanied by the scent of grass and trees.
